Nigerian Firm Innovates AI App to Enable Flight Booking

In Abuja, a Nigerian travel agency called Safety Travels Ltd. has developed an innovative app using artificial intelligence to facilitate flight bookings worldwide. The company revealed the AI solution and its potential applications during a media briefing in Abuja. General Manager Joseph Agofure explained that travelers or their representatives could conveniently manage their bookings through the app via their phones or laptops on the company's website, safetytravels.org.

The AI assistant, capable of understanding multiple Nigerian languages such as Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and Pidgin, would interpret voice or written prompts and then translate them into understandable flight terms for the traveler.

Agofure highlighted that the AI features would assist travelers in locating affordable flights by displaying available flights in order, along with various fare options from the lowest to the highest. The user-friendly application is designed to be activated by enabling a microphone, which would then allow users to make requests using voice commands. Once activated, the app would generate a real-time flight itinerary based on the traveler's request, making the process as simple as a market vendor making a request.
