Mumbai: Maharashtra's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has apprehended a 34-year-old truck driver named Sohel Razzaq Sheikh from the Padgha region in Thane district. Sheikh is accused of downloading and sharing videos of wanted terrorists, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Farhatullah Ghori and Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, on social media platforms.
According to sources, Sheikh, who resides in the Padgha area, admitted during questioning that he liked listening to the videos and thus downloaded and posted them on social media. The ATS subsequently transferred Sheikh to the local Padgha police for further investigation. A case has been filed against Sheikh under Section 196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
