Kansas City Chiefs’ ‘comical’ Patrick Mahomes and Rashee Rice post gets mocked by fans

The 2026 pre-season has yet to begin for the Kansas City Chiefs, yet some fans are already expressing dissatisfaction. For the first time in nearly a decade, the Chiefs failed to make the playoffs last year, finishing with a 6-11 record. Much improvement is anticipated in the upcoming season, and veteran players like Patrick Mahomes will need to step up their game.

Mahomes will miss the first pre-season game due to an ongoing injury recovery, but he has already been attending training camp sessions. The Chiefs' official X/Twitter account shared a brief video of Mahomes and defensive back Rashee Rice working together, captioned 'Rice is cookin'. However, numerous fans responded by mocking the clip, labeling it as comical and questioning what they believe is being 'cooked'.

Some fans asked, "Cookin' who?" and "With no defense. Comical." Another fan joked, "Cooking a cold pastrami sandwich looks like," while another wrote, "Hyping up Rice in the big 2026." One fan remarked, "He's not the guy," and another posted a gif of a tortoise. The Chiefs will now focus on their upcoming match against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday, set to begin at 4pm ET and 9pm BST at Arrowhead Stadium.
