It's Doomsday for the AMC Theaters app as Avengers tickets go on sale

The AMC Theaters app is experiencing a doomsday scenario as tickets for the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday go on sale. Just like with previous blockbuster releases, the app crashes under the weight of users trying to secure seats. Social media is flooded with user complaints about the app's inability to stay open or display showtimes for any movies.

Despite efforts to access the app, many users cannot even view their already-purchased tickets or showtimes for other films. The app has previously struggled with high traffic during major releases, such as The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Supergirl. However, there is hope for A-List members, as the movie doesn't release for another four months.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday brings back Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom and reprises the roles of Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. The film also features actors from The Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Black Panther, and Shang-Chi. Fans will have to wait until December 18 for the movie premiere, provided they can navigate the app's current issues.
