Indigenous Itsekiri Brands Rally Behind Itsekiri Global Homecoming 2026

In a display of deep-rooted pride and homegrown enterprise, prominent indigenous Itsekiri businesses are backing the much-anticipated Itsekiri Global Homecoming (IGHC) 2026, scheduled to take place in Warri Kingdom, Delta State from August 16 to 23, 2026. The royal event, led by His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, and The Royal Order of Iwere (ROI), will gather Itsekiri residents, admirers, and global allies for a culturally significant week-long celebration commemorating the 5th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu.

Key indigenous Itsekiri enterprises backing the Homecoming include Overland Airways, VouchLinks, and REYON Water, who have pledged their expertise to ensure a memorable experience for guests across Nigeria and beyond. Overland Airways will assist with guest travel and transportation, VouchLinks will contribute through its digital platform and trusted recommendation system, and REYON Water will provide hydration support throughout the event.

New partners joining the initiative include Agile Cycle, an indigenous electric mobility venture and the Official Mobility Partner of the Homecoming. The organisers reported on the expanding network of support, including well-known brands like MAGGI®, Sterling Bank, Seaman’s Schnapps, Loatsad Promomedia, Enugu Air, ORÍKÌ, and others.

Speaking to the growing support for the event, Ade Mabo, a member of The Royal Order of Iwere and IGHC Organising Committee, expressed gratitude to the indigenous Itsekiri businesses and other organizations for their involvement. Mabo believes that the Homecoming will not only celebrate the Iwere heritage but also foster connections, support entrepreneurship, and showcase Warri Kingdom to the world.
