Free rides are over: LRT3 Shah Alam Line passengers start paying tomorrow

After six weeks of complimentary rides, passengers on the LRT3 Shah Alam Line will begin paying for their journeys starting tomorrow, August 15. Rapid KL announced this change via a statement, mentioning that it includes the shuttle bus service and the Park N’ Ride facility. The official statement reads, "The implementation of this paid service marks another important phase in the operation of the Shah Alam Line after the six-week free travel period which was well received by the public."

Rapid KL expressed gratitude to all users for their support and trust during the free period. They advised passengers to have at least RM5 on their fare cards before starting their trip. The public transport operator also shared that passengers can verify the fare rates on the official MyRapid website. Concessionary fares are also available for specific groups, such as students, senior citizens, and the disabled, who can use their concession cards to access set fare rates.

Rapid KL encourages the public to continue using the Shah Alam Line, stating, "We welcome the public to continue travelling with the Shah Alam Line and make public transport an option for easier, safer, and smoother daily travel."
