Emirates to resume Bahrain flights but Kuwait services remain suspended

Emirates plans to reinstate its Dubai to Bahrain flights starting August 15, following a period of cancellations due to regional tensions. Currently, there is a single service, EK839, operating with a departure from Dubai International Airport at 4pm and arrival in Bahrain at 4.20pm local time. This resumption sees the return of one of three daily services that Emirates previously ran on the route, while the other two, EK835 and EK837, are still suspended.

Services between Dubai and Kuwait remain canceled, with no Emirates flights listed on the airline's website. The airline's website notes that only Emirates-operated flights are listed, and passengers should check the respective airlines' websites for connecting flights. Etihad Airways continues to operate reduced schedules between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, with flights EY643 and EY644 scheduled to run until August 21.

Etihad is also running one daily service to Kuwait, EY653, departing Abu Dhabi at 8.25am. Other UAE-based carriers, such as flydubai and Air Arabia, also offer services to Bahrain and Kuwait, though some flights may be canceled. Qatar Airways has resumed daily services to Bahrain, Kuwait, and Erbil, as well as operating flights between Doha and the UAE.

Bahrain's Gulf Air and Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways continue to operate multiple daily services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways maintain services to Dubai and Abu Dhabi for Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways. The situation extends beyond UAE airlines; international carriers have also had to adjust their schedules due to security concerns, airspace restrictions, and operational uncertainty across the region.
