El-Rufai’s son celebrates parents on 27th wedding anniversary

Kaduna North lawmaker Mohammed El-Rufai has marked his parents' 27th wedding anniversary with a heartfelt tribute on Facebook. The son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Asia praised his mother, Asia, as the "glue" of their family and lauded her for her compassion, intellect and dedication to helping vulnerable people.

He remembered her taking him back to Zaria Academy when he was in junior high school, describing her as an avid reader and brilliant lawyer, with a compassionate nature beyond her immediate family. Mohammed highlighted his mother's commitment to supporting widows and orphans during her father's time as Kaduna State governor. He credited her with shaping his values and approach to representing Kaduna North.

Reflecting on his parents' marriage, Mohammed emphasized his mother's unwavering support for his father even through challenging times. He also expressed gratitude for her strength and presence during his father's "illegal detention." The 27th anniversary anniversary served as an opportunity for Mohammed to appreciate their journey, memories and the lives they have positively impacted.

He prayed for continued blessings, good health, peace, and many more years of happiness for the couple, urging residents of Kaduna North to pray for them as well.
