Karnataka BJP MLA’s daughter allegedly slaps woman SI at Mandya temple; probe on

Mandiya police sub-inspector Savitha filed a complaint against the daughter of Tumkur Rural MLA Suresh Gowda, Aishwarya, alleging that she slapped her while performing crowd-control duties at Aarathi Ukkada Temple in Srirangapatna. According to Savitha, Aishwarya refused to wait even after being asked to do so and instead abused and slapped her. The incident occurred on August 12th during Bhimana Amavasya, when Savitha was deployed outside the sanctum sanctorum from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Aishwarya reportedly insisted on entering the sanctum immediately after her arrival, despite being requested to wait for two minutes. She questioned Savitha's authority, reminding her that she was the daughter of an MLA and abused her. When another inspector, Lakshmi, entered the sanctum, Aishwarya objected to the cop being allowed inside while she had to wait outside, subsequently slapping Savitha and threatening to ruin her career.

Mandya SP V J Shobharani stated that both complaints were being investigated. Aishwarya also filed a counter-complaint, claiming it was Savitha who had abused her.
