Dihempap lori tangki, pemandu dan penumpang kereta dipercayai rentung

Ketua Polis Temerloh, Nasyim Bahron, stated that a fuel tanker carrying diesel and petrol unexpectedly collided with a vehicle, leading to a fire at Kilometer 9 of the Temerloh–Triang road in the evening. The police received information from the public about the incident around 4:30 PM. Initial investigations revealed that the fuel tanker, originating from Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, had reportedly lost control before entering the opposing lane and crashing into the vehicle.

Both vehicles subsequently caught fire, but the tanker driver managed to escape with minor injuries, while the driver and passenger of the other vehicle were reported to have died in the blaze. Nasyim explained that the fuel tanker driver and passengers were believed to have failed to save themselves and perished in the incident.

He added that the burning vehicle and the presence of fuel made rescue operations challenging. Firefighters and police at the scene were working to extinguish the flames, while attempts were being made to identify the victims and determine the number of casualties. The tanker driver involved in the incident will be held for further investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
