Dihempap lori tangki, pemandu dan penumpang kereta dipercayai rentung

Temerloh police chief Nasyim Bahron revealed that a fuel tanker carrying diesel and petrol went missing, likely due to loss of control, resulting in an accident that killed a driver and passengers in their vehicle. The incident occurred on the Temerloh–Triang road at Kilometer 9, around 4:30 pm yesterday. Police received information from the public about the incident at approximately the same time.

Early investigations found that the fuel tanker carrying 32,000 liters of diesel and petrol from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, lost control before entering the opposing lane and rammed into a car, which then caught fire. Both vehicles ultimately burned, but the driver of the fuel tanker managed to escape with minor injuries, while both the driver and passengers of the car were killed.

Nasyim stated that the driver and passengers of the car failed to save themselves and were burned in the incident. He said that the condition of the damaged vehicle and the fire caused by the fuel made rescue operations time-consuming. Firefighters and police at the scene are working to identify the victim and determine the number of casualties.

The driver of the fuel tanker will be detained to assist with the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.
