Delhi HC gets bomb threat before Independence Day

On the eve of Independence Day, the Delhi High Court and Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport received bomb threats via email. This raised security concerns as multiple agencies conducted search operations at both locations. Bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs, fire department personnel, and local police teams were deployed to ensure safety across the national capital.

The Delhi High Court's Registrar General reported that the email contained a reference to a blast at the High Court at 2:11 pm. However, the threat was later deemed to be a hoax, with the situation now under control. The bomb squad and sniffer dogs were scanning the entire premises, with no suspicious objects found. Similar threats were reported at five other locations in the city, leading to additional security checks.

The origin of the emails is traced to Babar Khalsa from Canada, who allegedly referenced the Khalistan movement in the threats. As Delhi remains on high alert for Independence Day, security agencies are continuing their investigation into the source of these threats.
