Deborah Mailman becomes first Indigenous inductee to Logies Hall of Fame

Deborah Mailman is set to become the first Indigenous person inducted into the Logie Awards Hall of Fame, a significant milestone for Australian television. As for Mailman's journey, she credits her early experiences on stage and her role in the groundbreaking TV series The Secret Life of Us as foundational to her career. This role not only launched her acting career but also introduced her to the art of filmmaking.

Mailman has since starred in several acclaimed Indigenous-led projects, advocating for diversity and authenticity in storytelling. Her work includes roles in Mystery Road, Cleverman, and The New Boy, which reflect her commitment to showcasing the richness and diversity of Indigenous culture.
