DCP official claims Ruto cannot correct his own mistakes

Stanley Kimure, Director of Political Affairs, Strategy and Mobilisation for Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP), asserted that the burgeoning opposition coalition could supply the necessary leadership to rectify the perceived missteps of President William Ruto's administration. In an interview with a local radio station on August 14, 2026, Kimure urged Kenyans to scrutinize potential replacements for the incumbent leaders ahead of the 2027 General Election.

He emphasized that both the President, Members of Parliament and Senators bear accountability to Kenyans regarding governance and leadership, though he conceded that elected officials have fallen short.
