Civilian killed, 8 wounded in Houthi missile strike on Mokha; port targeted with six ballistic missiles

A Houthi missile attack on the Yemeni city of Mokha resulted in one civilian death and eight injuries, according to Yemeni officials. The attack, which occurred on Sunday evening, saw six ballistic missiles strike the port, Yemeni government forces reported. Colonel Majed Al-Nazili, a spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that Houthi militias launched the missile strikes, targeting civilian sites and national infrastructure.

Al-Nazili suggested that the strikes were an attempt by the Houthis to impose a blockade and starve the Yemeni population. He also mentioned that specialized teams are currently assessing the damage and determining the extent of the losses. Concurrently, Al Arabiya reported that Houthi drones were flying intensively over the city of Al-Khokha, situated north of Mokha, amid the ongoing escalation in the region.
