Chevron Announces Leadership Changes

Chevron Corporation has announced the promotion of Uriel “Ose” Oseguera to the position of Treasurer, effective November 1, 2026. This appointment follows the retirement of Navin Mahajan, who has spent nearly three decades with the company. Oseguera will oversee Chevron's treasury operations, encompassing capital markets, corporate finance, insurance, credit, and risk management activities.

He will be working under the guidance of Chief Financial Officer Eimear Bonner. Currently, Oseguera holds the position of Vice President in charge of Upstream Business Performance & Finance.

Bonner expressed confidence in Oseguera's capabilities, highlighting his expertise in treasury, global business leadership, and comprehensive knowledge of the company. He is expected to contribute significantly to Chevron's financial stability and long-term growth. Oseguera began his tenure at Chevron in 1990, occupying leadership roles in finance, treasury, and planning across various countries including Venezuela, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, and the United States.

Prior to his recent appointment, he served as the General Manager of Chevron's Financial Shared Services organization.

Mahajan, who has been serving as Treasurer since 2019, has a distinguished career filled with leadership roles in treasury, finance, compliance, and business ventures worldwide. According to Bonner, Mahajan's tenure has been marked by trust, integrity, and commitment, which have greatly benefited Chevron's Finance organization. His innovative approach, discipline, and thoughtful decision-making have been instrumental in navigating complex challenges and inspiring teams to achieve lasting impact.
