BSNL to upgrade 690 towers to 4G in Mysuru region, rolls out I-Day offers

BSNL aims to enhance rural mobile coverage in Mysuru region, upgrading 690 towers to 4G services ahead of Independence Day. General Manager Rajendra Kumar Singh revealed that over 90% of 76 villages under the 4G Saturation Project have already received indigenous 4G services using 'Make in India' technology. BSNL is offering promotional deals, including the 'Freedom 2.0' SIM for ₹1 with daily data, SMS, and unlimited calls.

The company is also providing a ₹88 monthly discount on its fibre broadband plan, delivering 200 Mbps speed, 5,000 GB data, free dual-band Wi-Fi ONT, access to OTT platforms, and unlimited voice calls. BSNL's annual mobile plan offers 412 days of validity, 2 GB data per day, 100 SMS, and unlimited calls. The company is targeting remote areas with its satellite phone priced at ₹1,34,166, including taxes, and includes emergency SOS and voice-calling features.

BSNL is providing broadband connections under the BharatNet rural FTTH initiative at ₹259 and ₹399 monthly rates for 25 Mbps and 40 Mbps, respectively, under the Digital Bharat Nidhi scheme. The telecom provider is inviting local cable operators, entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and individuals to participate in the BharatNet Udyami Partner scheme for last-mile connectivity, offering incentives of up to ₹4,720 per connection and recurring monthly revenue sharing.
