BN-PN pact stronger if planned from outset, says Hamzah

Wawasan president Hamzah Zainudin has expressed his belief that the cooperation between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) could be more robust and enduring if a cohesive plan and agenda are established from the outset. Former president of BN, Muhyiddin Yassin's government, which disbanded in 2021, and subsequent Ismail Sabri Yaakob administration, both had BN-PN alliances.

However, these partnerships did not persist following the latter's conclusion in 2022. Hamzah compared political cooperation to establishing a company, emphasizing that all parties should comprehend their respective roles and responsibilities from the start. He stressed that the forthcoming collaboration should be driven by a unified goal of national development, ensuring all Malaysians benefit.

This would facilitate systematic economic and education policy planning aligned with his proposed Reset agenda. Hamzah stressed the necessity of advance planning, including a seating allocation formula acceptable to both parties, encompassing the entire country rather than isolated instances such as the Melaka state election.
