BN Pahang mahu kekal kerajaan perpaduan bersama PH hingga PRU16

The Barisan Nasional (BN) Pahang has expressed its intention to maintain a unity government alongside Pakatan Harapan (PH) until the 2016 general election, according to their Chairman Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail. As the state's Minister of Education, Wan Rosdy emphasized that his party is committed to ensuring the well-being of the Pahang populace.

"I hope we (the unity government) can remain until PRU16," he told reporters after inaugurating the 2026 Pahang Subsidy Continuation and International Outreach Seminar at the Sri Pahang State Complex.

In the 2015 General Election, BN and Perikatan Nasional each won 17 seats in the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN), while PH secured eight seats. Pahang has a total of 42 DUN seats. Wan Rosdy stated that BN Pahang is open to cooperating with any party in preparation for the upcoming general election. Regarding the seminar, he mentioned that the party allocated RM118,000 for 118 students from tertiary institutions to continue their studies in Egypt and New Zealand this month.

Additionally, the Pahang state government contributed USD1,000 through the Pahang Charity Foundation to students pursuing education in Jordan and the Maghreb region. Wan Rosdy affirmed that the Pahang Magnanimity Initiative will not cease at this point but will continue to expand and improve over time. "We are also taking into account the curriculum and courses offered, particularly courses with Islamic elements and relevant fields of study," he concluded.
