Bhopal's Class 12 Student Hangs Self After Failing Supplementary Examination

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a 17-year-old Class 12 student named Nikita Diware tragically took her own life after failing her supplementary examination, police reported on Thursday. The incident occurred in the Shahpura area, where Nikita resided in Paras Majesty City. She had appeared for the supplementary exam following her earlier failure in Class 12. Nikita's body was discovered hanging in her bathroom late Wednesday night, with a suicide note left behind expressing self-blame for her actions.

Nikita's maternal uncle, Deepak, revealed that she had previously attempted to harm herself by cutting her wrist with a cutter upon learning about the supplementary examination. However, her family members intervened and encouraged her to persevere in her studies. Despite her efforts, Nikita was devastated by the result of the supplementary examination.

The Shahpura police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated an investigation into the incident. After conducting a post-mortem examination on Thursday afternoon, the body was returned to her family. Police have collected Nikita's mobile phone and the suicide note for further examination. The station in-charge, Santosh Markam, emphasized that the investigation was ongoing and that all possible aspects of the case would be examined. Further actions would be determined based on the results of the probe.
