Anwar ada ruang ubah strategi tapi masa makin suntuk, kata KJ, Shahril

Former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has conveyed to Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim that there is still room for him to change political strategy and regain focus on reformasi following the loss of voter support in the recent elections. He warned that if the voting pattern among Malay voters in Johor and Negeri Sembilan continues, Anwar will become a former prime minister.

Anwar now faces two choices - either resume the promised reform or use government power to strengthen his political position before the next election. Khairy believes Anwar is more inclined towards the latter option. This view is supported by recent developments such as the issue of the Prime Minister's special housing allocation for some PKR MPs who were linked to the former PKR leaders, Rafizi Ramli.

Khairy stated that this issue is bigger than just a power struggle within PKR as it touches on PH's promise of fairness in distributing parliamentary seats. He claimed this as evidence of using power to secure the second victory. Shahril Hamdan, on the other hand, believes Anwar still has a chance to change his situation but the window of opportunity is closing.

He said that as Anwar takes more time to make changes, it becomes harder for him to regain the public's trust. Shahril emphasized that Anwar has a unique advantage unlike many other politicians - his image and reputation built over decades before becoming Prime Minister. He urged Anwar not to be too egotistical to admit if there is a mistake, as admitting to it does not weaken him, instead it may help regain public trust.

"It's okay to say 'I was wrong,' and I believe admitting to it can win back hearts," Shahril concluded.
