Amansie Central DCE Commissions 3rd CHPS Compound

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie Central in the Ashanti Region, Emmanuel Obeng Agyemang, has officially opened a new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Fenaso No. 3. This facility aims to enhance healthcare delivery for the area by bringing essential services closer to residents and minimizing the need for them to travel long distances for medical care.

The CHPS compound is the third health facility commissioned in the district since Mr. Agyemang took office about one year and two months ago. The DCE emphasized that healthcare is a top priority for his administration, highlighting the importance of functional health facilities in improving the wellbeing of the population. He urged residents to actively maintain the facility for long-term use while also seeking timely medical attention.

The District Health Director, Oppong Ahmed Ampratwum, praised the District Assembly and Nananom for their contributions to the project, noting that it will significantly improve access to primary healthcare services, including maternal and child health care and disease prevention. Nananom expressed gratitude for the assembly's support and pledged to help protect and maintain the facility, calling for more development initiatives to meet the community's growing needs.

The Fenaso No. 3 CHPS compound is anticipated to serve both the local community and neighboring areas, contributing to the government's goal of delivering healthcare services closer to people at the community level.
