A.P. Health Minister opens new OP block in Dharmavaram Hospital

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav inaugurated a new outpatient (OP) block at the Government Area Hospital in Dharmavaram on Friday, August 14, 2026. The Minister aimed to reduce waiting times and enhance patient services by inaugurating the facility. During the inauguration ceremony, the Minister highlighted a recent increase in monthly OP registrations from 18,000 to 24,000 over the past five years.

To improve patient convenience, separate counters and queues have been provided for women, men, elderly people, and persons with disabilities. After the inauguration, the Minister toured the hospital's departments and wards, interacting with patients to gather feedback on registration times, doctors' availability, medicines, and sanitation.

The Minister emphasized the importance of treating patients with dignity, stating that patient satisfaction is a critical measure of hospital performance. Over the past two years, Dharmavaram Area Hospital has received medical equipment worth ₹2.10 crore. Additionally, the hospital now features a 10-bed dialysis center.

Finally, the Minister announced that the hospital has received approval to establish a blood bank. According to Yadav, the government is committed to strengthening healthcare and raising patient satisfaction to 90%.
