민주, 이진숙 ‘의원 제명’ 촉구 결의안 제출…“5·18 폄훼 서슴잖아”

The Democratic Party of Korea submitted a resolution demanding the appointment of Jeon Byeong-soo as a member of parliament to the National Assembly on the 14th. Additionally, a proposal to amend the National Assembly Law to suspend the duties of a National Assembly member for up to one year was put forward due to the misuse and distortion of facts regarding the 5.18 democratic movement.

Both the deputy representative of the Democratic Party and the deputy spokesperson held a press conference after submitting the resolution, expressing their disapproval of Jeon Byeong-soo and calling for him to step down from his position in the National Assembly immediately. The Democratic Party stated that all of its members supported the submission of the resolution and emphasized the importance of establishing a special committee on ethics in the National Assembly to address this issue.
