34-year-old assistant professor at Kozhikode Medical College found dead in quarters

A 34-year-old assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Government Medical College, Kozhikode, Kerala, was discovered dead in his quarters on Friday. Nikhil Chandran, hailing from Malappuram, was identified as the deceased. His colleagues discovered his absence from work in the morning, grew concerned, and alerted the Medical College police.

Upon arrival, the authorities broke open the locked door of Nikhil's quarters and confirmed his death. The body was subsequently moved to the Medical College Hospital mortuary.
