2027: APC stakeholders launch grassroots campaign strategy

In 2027, the Concerned National APC Stakeholders Forum (CNSF) has unveiled its strategy for grassroots mobilization ahead of the general elections. The party aims to pivot from political hostility towards an issue-based campaign approach to unite support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. On Thursday, the CNSF inaugurated state coordinators across all 36 states, assigning them the task of leading the "Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Canvassers" initiative.

During the inauguration in Abuja, the CNSF's National Coordinator, Dr. Dominic Alancha, conveyed the campaign's core principles. Speaking to the newly-appointed coordinators, Dr. Alancha underscored that the election will be won through persuasion, engagement, and performance, rather than intimidation or abuse. "Our campaign must be a campaign of ideas, engagement, persuasion, and performance—not intimidation or abuse," he emphasized.

"We must never engage the people with arrogance. Where Nigerians are angry, we must listen; where they are hopeful, we must strengthen that hope."

Dr. Alancha reiterated that the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027 will not stem from rallies in state capitals, but from tangible performance at the ward and polling-unit levels. He detailed a comprehensive "bottom-up" mobilization framework for the coordinators, instructing them to identify local concerns, foster credible grassroots networks, explain government policies, and address misinformation with maturity. Mobilization, he stressed, is a continuous year-round effort, not confined to election seasons.
