Yemeni government faces major responsibility amid Houthi escalation, analyst warns

Political analyst Manaa Al-Matari has cautioned that the actions of the Houthi militia are heightening tensions and jeopardizing Yemen's stability. He has urged the Yemeni government to respond firmly to these escalating developments. Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, Al-Matari stated that the Houthi escalation is no longer confined to domestic issues, but has now expanded to maritime routes, thereby enlarging the threats posed by the group.

He noted that the Yemeni government firmly opposes the Houthis' efforts to impose a new order through force, as the conflict persists both within Yemen and in maritime channels. Al-Matari further suggested that the Houthi militia was not intended to be a national endeavor, but rather a tool utilized to further regional objectives by leveraging Yemen as a platform for those ambitions.
