Gov Adeleke has pulled Osun backwards – APC scribe, Basiru Ajibola

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary Basiru Ajibola has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of pulling Osun State backward since he took office. Ajibola made these allegations during an APC mega rally in Osogbo, Osun State. He criticized Adeleke's administration for its performance in various sectors including education, electricity and road infrastructure. According to Ajibola, the state has been facing setbacks under Adeleke's leadership for the past three and a half years.

Despite increased allocations from the Federal Government since Tinubu assumed office, Ajibola argued that the funds have not been utilized effectively. He pointed out that the education sector remains underfunded with teachers still lacking jobs. Similarly, the electricity sector is performing poorly. Ajibola also criticized the administration for failing to construct several roads in Osogbo, despite having the necessary funds.

In a veiled threat, Ajibola suggested that the APC candidate standing against Adeleke is well-equipped to handle governance. He questioned the credibility of those alleging electoral rigging, suggesting that the accusing party lacks the numerical strength to back up their claims. Ajibola urged voters to make their choice for the future of their children on Saturday.
