Legal expert Timothy Tugbiyele has urged Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido to apologize to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo over the singer's exchange on social media. The incident unfolded after Okpebholo mocked Adeleke, Davido's uncle and Bola Oyebamiji's campaigner, for his penchant for dancing. Davido then shared what appeared to be Okpebholo's alleged WAEC results on Instagram without context.

Tugbiyele criticized Davido's actions, arguing that the result should not have been ridiculed and that the singer and governor are not of the same social status. He believed Adeleke could have responded through official channels instead of Davido engaging him on social media. Tugbiyele further stressed that poor academic performance should not define a person and urged Davido to apologize to Okpebholo.
