We will finish abandoned E-Blocks to end waste of taxpayers’ money – Mahama

President John Mahama has declared his commitment to completing the abandoned E-Block school projects throughout the nation, part of his government's strategy to enhance educational infrastructure. The administration has allocated funds to finish 30 of these facilities this year, demonstrating a renewed focus on addressing educational infrastructure deficiencies.

During a visit to the Upper East Region, Mahama unveiled an E-Block facility as part of his ongoing regional tour. "In this year's budget, we allocated funds for the completion of thirty of the abandoned E-Blocks," he stated. "Any project in which the government has invested, yet remains unfinished, represents a waste of taxpayers' money.

Consequently, we intend to finish the E-Blocks we started in phases." E-Block facilities are integral to the Community Day Senior High School (CDSHS) project, initiated by Mahama's first administration to provide contemporary educational infrastructure and improve access to secondary education, especially in underprivileged areas.

The president highlighted that completing the abandoned structures would broaden access to high-quality secondary education and furnish students with a superior learning environment. He expressed confidence that the completion of the 30 E-Block facilities would aid in enhancing secondary education access and alleviate pressure on existing schools.
