Watch: UP thief checks in, bathes & dances in bike showroom before the real act

Varanasi police are investigating a peculiar motorcycle theft that unfolded like a bizarre soap opera, complete with a check-in, bath, dance, and the theft of a premium bike. According to the CCTV footage, a thief arrived at a motorcycle showroom in the Manduadih area shortly before midnight and skillfully breached the glass entrance, akin to checking into a hotel rather than breaking into one.

Once inside, the intruder spent the next four-and-a-half hours immersed in a leisurely routine. He settled into a chair, inspected the motorcycles on display, helped himself to chilled water, brewed a cup of coffee, took a bath, donned a branded T-shirt, sported a cap, transformed a bike cover into an improvised lungi, and even performed an impromptu dance.

Only to be interrupted by the need for the real act, the thief selected a KTM Adventure 390 S motorcycle and made his escape around 4 am, leaving behind shattered glass, fingerprints, and a trail of confusion. The theft was discovered when a security guard alerted the showroom manager, who promptly contacted the police. An FIR was registered at the Manduadih police station, and the accused's photo was circulated for identification. Police are actively searching for the thief, utilizing the CCTV footage as crucial evidence.
