Umfrage: KI beliebt – doch bei Finanzen bleibt das Misstrauen groß
Mobil bezahlen wird immer beliebter, doch beim Thema KI und Geldanlage bleibt die Angst vor Datenklau und Betrug groß. Was steckt dahinter?
A majority of Germans hold an open-minded attitude towards the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), according to a survey conducted by Forsa for Visa. Of the 1,010 adults surveyed between June 23 and July 3, 63% believe they could assign tasks to an AI agent. However, the survey also revealed significant reservations. Sixty-eight percent of respondents stated they would not allow their insurance and financial products to be managed using AI.
Eighty-six percent are skeptical about investing money with the help of AI, such as through a robo-advisor. The respondents primarily want assurance that AI agents do not gain uncontrolled access to payment data (61%). Fifty-two percent value the assurance that personal data will not be collected or shared. Trust in digital payment methods is also growing; 55% of Germans now consider paying with a smartphone at the checkout secure, a six-point increase from two years ago.
Among those who pay with their mobile device, 83% say they no longer worry much about the security of the transaction. Additionally, 59% of mobile payment users report being less skeptical about digital payments than they once were. To protect themselves from potential fraud, nearly three-quarters (73%) of respondents regularly monitor their account movements, and the same number use two-factor authentication.
Over half (55%) also employ biometric methods like fingerprint or facial recognition to safeguard access to sensitive payment data.
