Ukrposhta, Modern-Expo to launch production, installation of 1,000 street parcel lockers in major Ukrainian cities

Ukrposhta, the national postal operator of Ukraine, has teamed up with Modern-Expo to begin the production and installation of 1,000 new street parcel lockers across major Ukrainian cities, Ukrposhta CEO Igor Smelyansky announced on Telegram. These lockers, equipped with mailboxes for both receiving parcels and sending letters, will be primarily placed in Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro and other key cities.

Ukrposhta is seeking cooperation from homeowners' associations, management companies and residential complex representatives to have lockers installed at specific locations. The company will consider residential complexes lacking nearby post office branches, as well as locations with a sturdy, level surface, access to a 220V power supply, and stable mobile network coverage.

Homeowners' associations, management companies and residents can also apply through Ukrposhta's website to have a locker installed at a chosen location. The company is open to partnerships with cafes, shops, pharmacies, gas stations and other businesses. Once an agreement is signed, Smelyansky assured that Ukrposhta will confirm the installation site and terms. The company plans to continue purchasing and installing lockers, expanding its network through partners' lockers as well.

Locker usage remains at the current cost of UAH 45, with parcels stored for seven calendar days. Ukrposhta also reiterated its plan to install 1,000 lockers nationwide, along with 600 quick-pickup cells at branches. In the second quarter of 2026, Ukrposhta reported a net profit of UAH 296.7 million, compared to a net loss of UAH 108 million in the same period of 2025. The postal operator operates 7,200 customer service points, including 2,000 mobile post offices serving 21,300 population centers.
