Pertubuan Negeri Sembilan's Deputy Police Chief, Nasharudin Shariff, disclosed that a 20-year-old military member was shot three days after being released from duty near Menyala Forest, Port Dickson, on Saturday. Police spokesperson Nasharudin informed the court-appointed attorney, Noor Shazziera Safaruddin, in the morning. The 20-year-old suspect's application was granted for a three-day period starting today until August 15 to complete the investigation, according to Harian Metro. Further investigation is underway to determine the root cause of the incident.

The firearm used in the incident was stolen and the case is being investigated under Section 37 of the Firearms Act 1960 and Section 337 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The victim, a 20-year-old, is in stable condition and is currently being treated at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban. The severity of the wound is yet to be confirmed as the official doctor's report is pending.

Earlier, a military member reported that one of their comrades sustained serious injury to the right cheek and below left eye while practicing shooting at the Menyala River range in Port Dickson on Saturday. The accident occurred when the shooter accidentally fired at the target 25 meters away and failed to notice that the victim was positioned behind the target. The medical examination found no internal injuries, and the victim, who is now in stable condition, is being monitored for further treatment.
