The Israeli military stated that the settlers' actions were "unlawful and reprehensible" and that the Palestinian residents had requested humanitarian aid through social media.

However, the military withdrew after controlling the settlers' blockade and did not return. Palestinians claim that the Israeli settlers resumed their attacks after the military withdrew. The Israeli military has stated that it will take necessary measures against the settlers after apprehending them. The conflict is taking place in an area where Palestinians have administrative rights and Israel has security rights, according to the Sa'ana district.

The far-right Nahta party claims that the violence against Palestinian residents by Israeli settlers is exaggerated and supports the settlers.
