Prosecutor details evidence behind convictions in murders of Quebec couple

A special prosecutor in Dominica revealed the evidence behind the convictions of two American men for the murders of Quebec entrepreneur Daniel Langlois and his partner, Dominique Marchand. On July 28, the pair were found dead inside a burning vehicle near the luxury resort they owned in Dominica. Keith Scotland, the prosecutor, stated that an extensive international investigation led to their convictions.

The trial lasted a month and involved testimony from over 46 witnesses, as well as evidence such as ballistics, DNA, and phone records. Scotland said that Langlois was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, and a ballistics report could not rule out that a bullet came from a firearm belonging to one of the accused, Jonathan Lehrer. Witness testimony placed co-accused Robert Thomas Snyder Jr. near the scene of the shooting and later near the road where the couple's burned vehicle was discovered. Lehrer and Snyder have appealed their convictions and are set to be sentenced in September.
