Palghar: Tourists’ Car Gets Stuck In Sand At Kalamb Beach In Virar West; Locals Rescue It Before Rising Tide

On Thursday morning, a tourist car became stuck in the sand at Kalamb Beach in Virar West around 9 am. As the tide started rising and seawater moved towards the vehicle, the driver and his friends called for help from local residents. After about 30 minutes of effort, the locals managed to pull the car out safely. The incident happened near the 'Mini Goa' area between Kalamb and Bhuigaon beaches, which has a creek section.

Some tourists, being overly eager, tried to drive their car from Bhuigaon Beach to Kalamb Beach through the creek route. However, the vehicle got trapped in the soft, marshy sand. As the rising tide posed a greater risk of submerging the car, the locals immediately launched a rescue operation and successfully retrieved the vehicle before the water could reach it.

Due to previous incidents where tourists' vehicles had gotten stuck and been submerged at this beach, locals have repeatedly urged tourists to heed warnings and refrain from driving vehicles directly onto the beach or into flood-prone areas during high tide.
