Osun Election: APC candidate’s team spotted handing out N1000 notes to women [VIDEO]

A video clip has been circulating online, revealing the team of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, also known as 'AMBO', distributing cash to a group of women. The footage, which has gone widely viral, shows a young man donning a T-shirt with the inscription 'AMBO', handing out a N1000 note to each woman.

This incident occurred amidst the APC's extensive rally in Osogbo, the state capital, in earnest efforts to rally support for their candidate, just days before the critical state governorship elections set for August 15, 2026. During the rally, Adams Oshiomhole, a senator representing Edo North, emphasized the crucial need for Osun State to receive the best possible governance.

He stressed that the best candidate for this task is the one presented by the APC, namely Oyebamiji. The senator remarked, "Let’s be clear, we are a party of peace, which is why we are called progressive. The only ink we need is the black ink for you to put your thumbprint on, not anybody’s blood." Senate President Godswill Akpabio further challenged Oyebamiji to bring about transformative change upon assuming office as the new governor.

He urged, "You must transform Osun State. As soon as you are elected on Saturday, once you are sworn in, you must begin the progressive movement. 'You must show the people that what they need is dividends of democracy; they don't need social media.'"
