NCDMB urges oil firms to embrace digital portal for global competitiveness

The Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has called upon oil and gas industry participants to adopt its new digital platform, emphasizing its potential to boost efficiency, transparency, innovation, and competitiveness. NCDMB Executive Secretary Felix Ogbe unveiled the portal in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, alongside representatives from the Bank of Industry and the Nigerian Export-Import Bank.

The event also included a technical session and an interactive discussion with stakeholders from Akwa Ibom and Cross River states. Ogbe highlighted that the manual compliance confirmation process in the oil and gas sector often caused delays, uncertainty, and limited transparency. The new digital platform will significantly reduce certificate processing time and allow for online applications, providing instant status updates and enabling real-time regulator verification.

By digitizing the process, the portal aims to improve access to the Nigerian Content Fund, enabling companies to secure financing promptly and invest in projects that drive job creation, capacity building, and overall growth of Nigeria's oil and gas industry.
