Navi Mumbai Crime: Burglars Break Into Kharghar Jewellery Store, Escape With ₹1.64 Crore Loot; Police Launch Manhunt | VIDEO

Navi Mumbai, August 13, 2026: Armed robbers infiltrated a high-end jewelry store on CISF Road in Kharghar Sector 12, stealing an estimated Rs 1.64 crore worth of diamonds, gold, and platinum, along with Rs 30,000 in cash. The brazen heist occurred on Monday morning at Candier Lifestyle Jewellery, which had just closed its doors for the day around 9:30 pm. Employees left for home afterward, only to return to find that one side of the store's shutter had been forced open.

Upon entering, staff discovered the cash register open and various tools scattered about. Out of seven jewelry counters in the shop, three were targeted. The thieves made away with 139 pieces of diamond jewelry worth Rs 68,91,779, 27 pieces of gold jewelry valued at Rs 15,57,379, and 48 pieces of platinum jewelry worth Rs 79,55,817. In addition to the high-value jewelry, the criminals also stole Rs 30,000 in cash, bringing the total value of the stolen goods to Rs 1,64,34,975.

Police confirmed that the burglary appeared to be meticulously planned. Police have collected CCTV footage from the surrounding area and are currently analyzing it to identify the suspects and trace their movements before and after the crime. A case has been registered against unidentified individuals for the incident, and special task forces have been formed to locate the accused. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage from nearby establishments and roads to gather more evidence.
