Nashik: ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign To Be Implemented Across District; Collector Calls For Maximum Public Participation

Nashik district is gearing up for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga', 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam', and Nasha Mukt Bharat campaigns in preparation for India's Independence Day celebrations. District Collector Ayush Prasad held a review meeting with the heads of all 17 municipal councils, emphasizing the importance of widespread public participation, especially in urban areas.

Prasad called upon NGOs, Ganesh mandals, schools, colleges, and elected representatives to actively engage in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign. Various activities, such as rallies, marches, bicycle rallies, marathons, tributes to martyrs, and patriotic song performances, were proposed to honor the nation's freedom fighters and celebrate the spirit of patriotism.

Under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, school and college students are urged to take an oath to lead a drug-free life and avoid narcotics. Rangoli, elocution, and painting competitions are planned as part of the campaign to engage the younger generation.

The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative aims to ensure the proper documentation of planted saplings on a designated portal, with a focus on large-scale tree plantation. Prasad directed municipal councils to develop at least five open plots using the Miyawaki method, sourcing large trees from nurseries operated by the Social Forestry and Forest Departments.

Collective participation is sought from government offices, commercial establishments, banks, companies, and marriage halls. The Collector urged civic bodies to maximize the use of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds and actively involve the public in environment-friendly initiatives.
