Mncube denies sharing money in the bag picture with Kelly Khumalo

Mthobisi Mncube, a key defendant in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, denies any connection between a picture of money in a plastic bag found on his cellphone and actress Kelly Khumalo. In court, Mncube stated that he downloaded the image from the internet. The trial involves five men accused of killing Meyiwa in October 2014. The prosecution claims that the same photo was discovered on both Mncube's, Khumalo's, and Longwe Thwala's phones, suggesting a link between the individuals.

However, Mncube argues that the mere presence of similar photos does not constitute proof of any shared connection. He emphasized that if the evidence is to be taken seriously, there must be a clear explanation for how the images ended up on each phone. Mncube's defense is that the prosecution's attempt to demonstrate a link between the parties through the shared photos has not been substantiated.
