Michael Jackson Child Sex Trafficking Lawsuit Dismissed in Favor of Arbitration

A child sex trafficking lawsuit against Michael Jackson's estate was dismissed, with the judge ruling that the allegations should be addressed through confidential arbitration instead of a public courtroom. The Cascio family, including Edward, Dominic, Marie-Nicole, and Aldo Cascio, filed the lawsuit in February, alleging that Jackson raped and molested them over a decade-long period.

Their attorney, Howard King, claimed that Jackson groomed, brainwashed, isolated, and abused them, exposing them to drugs, alcohol, and pornography to normalize the abuse. The family had previously accepted a $3.5 million settlement without admitting wrongdoing, but they now argue that they were coerced into signing it, making the agreement invalid.

Judge Hernán D. Vera stated that the court is bound by the arbitration clause and cannot rule on the allegations, even though they are "horrific." Jackson's estate lawyer, Marty Singer, strongly denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a "desperate money grab" and a "scheme to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars from Michael's estate."
