Meet 15 candidates vying for Osun governorship seat

Osun State's gubernatorial election is just around the corner, with 2.3 million eligible voters set to cast their ballots. Fifteen political parties are vying for the top spot, although only a select few candidates have taken a serious approach to campaigning.

Incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, is leading the pack. His main challenger is Bola Oyebamiji, who is seeking the position on the All Progressives Congress ticket. Najeem Salaam, from the African Democratic Congress, rounds out the top contenders.

Other candidates include Farinloye Olarenwaju, who is running on the Action Alliance platform, and Esan Olajide, whose party is known as the African Action Congress. Adeagbo Opawoye, representing the African Democratic Party, and Mustapha Adeniyi, who is part of the Social Democratic Party, are also in the running.

Other notable names in the race are Adesina Aseyemi-Doro, who is with the All Progressives Grand Alliance, and Clement Adesuyi, who is campaigning for the Action Peoples Party. The Boot Party is headed by Masilo Adeleke, while Taofeek Adeleke is leading the New Nigeria Peoples Party. Saliu Oyelami is representing the Peoples Redemption Party, and Ogunsakin Olalekan is the candidate for the Young Progressives Party.

Finally, Adefemi Adesuyi is running on the Zenith Labour Party ticket.
