Kuwait arrests woman for running illegal home clinic

Kuwaiti authorities have detained an Azerbaijani woman accused of conducting an illegal home clinic, issuing fraudulent sick leave certificates, and selling herbal remedies for profit, according to the Interior Ministry. The Criminal Security Sector, through the General Department of Criminal Investigation's Anti-Counterfeiting and Forgery Department, discovered the operation after receiving reports that the woman was practicing medicine without a valid license and running a fully equipped healthcare business out of her private residence in Jaber Al Ahmad City.

Surveillance and investigations revealed that the suspect was treating patients, conducting medical consultations, preparing and selling herbal mixtures, and issuing sick leave certificates without the necessary permits or licenses. Following the authorized raid, investigators seized medical equipment and materials used for herbal preparation, as well as cash, foreign currencies, an iPad, and a computer containing patient records from the residence.

It was also discovered that the woman collaborated with a doctor from a government hospital, issuing sick leave certificates and providing consultations and examinations for payments ranging from KD5 to KD30. Both the woman and the seized items were handed over to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings.
