Kingsley Agyemang rejects allegations of wrongdoing at Scholarship Secretariat

Former Registrar of the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, has dismissed allegations of wrongdoing made by the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson. According to his lawyers, the allegations are false and misleading, and Dr Agyemang has fully cooperated with ongoing investigations into alleged corruption surrounding scholarship awards during the previous administration.

The lawyers questioned the decision to make public comments against Dr Agyemang while investigations are ongoing, describing the approach as "regrettable and unwarranted." They emphasized that Dr Agyemang has made himself available for the investigations and remains committed to due process and the rule of law. Dr Agyemang's legal team expressed confidence that the investigations will establish the facts and vindicate him, stating that the truth will ultimately prevail.
