I am ready to nurture young generation of musicians –Ofori Amponsah

Renowned Ghanaian musician Ofori Amponsah is eager to connect with the younger generation of musicians, aiming to nurture the next wave of musical talent in Ghana. In an interview with Kafui Dey, the highlife artist revealed that he still feels young and has more to offer the music industry, despite years of experience. "I want to join Gen Z because I feel young.

I think music is still in me," he stated. Ofori Amponsah acknowledges that he is only halfway through his musical journey and is looking to explore new avenues while remaining active in the industry. "I feel that I am in the middle of my career, so I want to do something else," he added. To achieve this, he plans to collaborate closely with younger musicians and impart the knowledge and experience he has garnered throughout his career.

"I’ll bring on board the kids, the young ones, and teach them the ways of the great musicians like myself and the others that Ghana has known," he said. Ofori Amponsah's motivation for working with younger artistes stems from his youthful mindset and belief that he still has a crucial role to play in shaping the future of Ghanaian music. "I still feel and think like a kid," he concluded.
