Huckabee says he called on police, IDF to 'remove the Israeli terrorists' from Qusra

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee expressed concern on Thursday morning regarding the siege imposed by Jewish extremists on a Palestinian family in the West Bank village of Qusra. He referred to the group as "Israeli terrorists," stating that the IDF and police were called upon by the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem to remove them.

Huckabee emphasized that the actions of these extremists were criminal and unjustified. He explained that the White House had not intervened because they had kept the District of Columbia informed of the situation. The U.S. administration, including officials in Congress, expressed outrage over the incident and demanded explanations from Israel.

The Qusra affair has caused diplomatic damage for Israel, with questions arising about the presence of anarchy in the country and the IDF's inability to prevent harm to Palestinians. One of the impacted villages, Tel Talpiot, was reported to have served as a base for establishing additional settlements, leading to clashes with IDF and Border Police forces.

As of Wednesday morning, the IDF had arrived in the area, but additional extremists had arrived and blocked access roads with heavy rocks. The Chief of Staff ordered reinforcements and instructed disciplinary action against those involved.
