Elena Rybakina fights back against Coco Gauff to reach Toronto final

In a thrilling match at the National Bank Open, Elena Rybakina fought back against rising star Coco Gauff to secure her place in the final. Gauff took an early lead, but Rybakina refused to back down, rallying in the second set to come from behind and win four straight games. The Ukrainian sealed the deal just after 1 am local time.

Elsewhere, Poland's Iga Swiatek also made her mark at the event. She defeated fellow Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 to advance to the final. In the men's singles, defending champion Ben Shelton will face fellow American Brandon Nakashima in the final in Montreal. Shelton edged out Learner Tien 6-2, 6-3, expressing satisfaction with his performance. Tien presented Shelton with numerous challenges, but the 23-year-old saved break points in his first two service games and defeated Tien in just one hour and 24 minutes. In the semifinal, Nakashima overcame Rafael Jodar 7-6(3), 6-4.
