Commuter falls onto tracks at Gombak LRT station

A commuter at the Gombak LRT station reportedly fainted and fell onto the tracks this morning around 9:05 AM, according to Rapid KL. The platform intrusion emergency stop system was triggered, and power to the tracks was briefly cut off as a safety measure. The rail operator reported that the operations team and auxiliary police quickly assisted the passenger out of the dangerous area and transported them to Tawakkal Specialist Hospital in Kuala Lumpur for examination and treatment.

The tracks were deemed safe, and train operations resumed approximately 12 minutes later at 9:12 AM.

Another train on the Kelana Jaya LRT line experienced a power disruption earlier in the morning, leaving it stranded between Taman Jaya and Universiti stations. A witness claimed they heard a boom before the train came to a sudden stop, causing several individuals to lose balance and fall. However, Rapid KL stated that no injuries were reported.

The train remained stationary on the tracks for about 20 minutes before Rapid KL personnel began helping passengers onto another train on the opposite side. The affected train was taken out of service for inspection, and the Kelana Jaya LRT line restarted operations at around 10:25 AM.
